There is a lot of misinformation out there, from nutrition hacking to isolated fat loss tageting -- the truth is, there is no hack and no secret; it's retraining your assumptions and past expectations for what you're capable of.
I work diligently to help you move past your current obsessions with fit-fluencers and develop a LIFESTYLE that is SUSTAINABLE for YOUR life and no one else's. so that you can get to an autonomous place of being able to do what's best for you.
Muscle mass and strength training are highly correlated. Muscle growth is part of the adaptation process your body goes through after the muscle tissue has undergone significant stress (such as lifting weights). Your body adapts to whatever stress is placed upon it, so in order to get stronger and/or increase your muscle mass, you have to train with resistance and continue to progress in a way that keeps forcing your body to work and adapt (progressive overload).
I use a scientific-based approach with all of my clients. Instead of doing your typical “bro bodybuilding” split routine, we will use total body strength workouts to help you achieve the results you desire.
Anyone looking to improve their body composition, increase strength, improve competitive performance and even just better general health/wellbeing. No level of experience or fitness level is necessary to get started - come as you are! *can also work around any sort of injury/limitations.
No need to coordinate schedules - you can do your workouts whenever and wherever you like! We don’t even need to be in the same state (or country for that matter). We can work around whatever gym equipment you have access to as well as any sort of time constraints we need to be mindful of.
**I’ll get pictures of the gym/workout area you’ll be primarily working from and build your workouts from what you have available
I use an evidence-based approach that combines total body strength work with progressive overload. My approach will allow you to see objectively each week that you are making progress and allow you to automatically regulate your volume so that you can maximize muscle growth and recovery.
Remote programming is great for people who are already a bit more self-motivated, live out of town/state, or for those hectic schedules and/or travel a lot. This is also a great option to “graduate” to - once you get the hang of your strength training movements and feel a bit more confident going out on your own.
Each week you will fill out your check-in email addressing certain data points (weight, body fat percentage reading, food log) as well as other factors including sleep, stress, hunger levels, struggles/wins, etc. I will respond to you within 24 hours with feedback and any adjustments/suggestions needed for the upcoming week.
This can (but doesn’t always have to) include daily macro targets/prescriptions, shared recipes, and access to a Facebook group to connect with others!
Ya know that cliché saying “You can’t out-train a poor diet?” Well it’s cliché because it’s true! In order to get the most out of your hard work in the gym, you also need to focus on what you’re putting into your body.
Without adequate protein, you won’t be able to build muscle. If you’re not in a calorie deficit, you won’t be able to lose body fat.
You can’t optimize your health without addressing what’s going on in the kitchen and within your lifestyle in general.
Nutrition is truly the foundation of everything we do. We all have to eat every single day, so this is for everyone! However, I believe nutrition becomes even more important when you start an exercise program. Getting adequate protein daily is essentially for muscle growth & recovery. Not to mention, if you’re already putting in the hard work in the gym, you might as well make the most out of your efforts and address what’s going on in the kitchen as well ;)
I want to TEACH you about nutrition and what is best for your body. There is so much misinformation in this space, and with social media now it can be so challenging to know what is right/wrong when it comes to nutrition. I will meet you where you’re at and teach you how to best fuel your body for your goals.
Instead of just prescribing a general meal plan, I will help you learn the tools necessary to make healthier decisions for yourself. We will also focus on improving your lifestyle & habits - things such as your sleep, routine, stress-management, etc.
It does require effort, but you don’t have to give up a social life to accomplish this. No fad diets here! It’s all about creating BALANCE and making lifestyle changes that can last forever.
